Yane Calovski (MKD) is an artist, researcher, publisher and a cultural activist. By converging notions of archiving while augmenting a method similar to the immediacy of drawing, his research is focused on designing discursive frameworks for the role of post-medium art in a wider cultural context. Calovski’s concerns range from the ways we analyse, understand and archive objects situated in the site-specificity of new cultural and political geographies. Collaboratively, with Hristina Ivanoska, he represented Macedonia at the 56th Venice Biennial (2015). Yane Calovski is currently participant of a long-term research-based project CrossSections, curated by Basak Senova in Vienna, Helsinki, and Stockholm.
