Zorlu Center Art Collection, Istanbul 2011

An object consists of hand blown glass and documents of a personal archive.

The hand-blown glass object is conceived as an idiosyncratic entity. Indentified both with the concepts of a spatial drawing and an acute archive, this is ultimately a testament to inconclusiveness. In it, preselected documents of an archive (mostly traces of project information, residue of research, loose pages of old agendas, found slides and remains of old notebooks) are piled up. Their value remains ambiguous. Placed in a sealed transparent amphora, they are visible yet inaccessible, creating an irrational desire to interact with the object in order to confront the elusiveness that becomes oppressive.
