Museum of Contemporary Art, Skopje 2011

An installation consists of individual structures including a skeletal metal platform, a series of 32 photographs, drawings, a video, prints, and objects.

The exhibition features new and recent works in sculpture, drawing, video and photography proposed as ‘idiosyncratic site-specific scenarios’ investigating individual utopias and those of the collective body. By research into displacement and transformations through diverse visual and conceptual narratives, Calovski has built objects with an unresolved contextual potential while using the museum as an adoptive social setting in which the role of the interlocutor is of interchangeable value shared among the audience, the works, the institution, and the artist.
